  15.   To install Active Keys, just run the installation file and
  16.   follow the instructions.
  17.  
  18.   You can uninstall Active Keys via the "Add/Remove Programs"
  19.   applet in the Control Panel.

  21. 2 Minimal system requirements
  22.  
  23.   One of the following operating systems:
  24.   Windows 98/98SE/Millennium/2000/XP.
  25.   Windows XP is recommended.
  26.   32bit color quality is recommended.
  27.  
  28.   Windows 95/NT4 is NOT supported.

  30. 3 How to use
  31.  
  32.   Just after installation the Active Keys taskbar icon will appear,
  33.   this means that Active Keys is loaded and working. Double click
  34.   this icon to customize keyboard shortcuts. Now you can create,
  35.   edit and delete keyboard shortcuts (hot keys). Main window contains
  36.   the list of currently existing keyboard shortcuts (in just
  37.   installed copy of Active Keys this list contains keyboard shorcuts,
  38.   that were automatically created as the sample).

  40.   To create new keyboard shortcut click the "New" button on toolbar,
  41.   "Keyboard Shortcut Wizard" will appear. Using this wizard new
  42.   shortcut can be created: on the first page of the wizard you can
  43.   select an action that will be associated with a new keyboard
  44.   shortcut. Select appropriate action and click the "Next" button.

  46.   On the next page you can tune up the action you have
  47.   selected (parameters available for changing depends of the selected
  48.   action).

  50.   The third page allows you to select the shortcut key for
  51.   the new shortcut, you can do it by two ways: press shorcut key
  52.   conbination, or select appropriate key from the list of all
  53.   available keys.

  55.   The last wizard's page allows you to change the
  56.   name and the icon for the new shortcut (when you'll come to the
  57.   last page it will already contain name and icon that were
  58.   automatically selected for your new shortcut). After you click
  59.   "Finish" button, the new keyboard shortcut will be finally created
  60.   and available for using.

  62.   Now, when you press shortcut key combination, the associated action
  63.   will be performed.

  65.   You can edit any shortcut by double clicking it, or opening
  66.   "Properties" using the context menu or the "Properties" toolbar
  67.   button. Properties window will appear. It contain three tabs:
  68.   "General", "Keys" and "Settings". All these tabs works in the same
  69.   way as the similar wizard's pages. The "General" tab allows you to
  70.   change shortcut's name, icon and deactivate shorcut without deleting
  71.   it. The "Keys" tab allows to change shortcut key. The "Settings" tab
  72.   depends of the action of shorcut and allows to tune up this action.
